All the big importers and wholesalers, without exception, inspect the quality of the products they buy in low cost countries (China, Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent).

If you import directly from these countries, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with quality inspections. This simple guide will take you through this process.

The risks to consider when buying directly from Asia

Buy products in developing countries is highly risky. Be aware of the existence of dishonest providers that may disappear after receiving your deposit or you could sell your designs to other customers.

However most of the importers spend most of their time fighting two major problems:

Quality of Products. What many Asian suppliers do not understand is that a shipment goods of poor quality (eg high proportion of visual defects or wrong color) can not be sold in the country of destination and all the money invested by the importer in this project is lost.
Production delays. If you've promised a delivery to a major distributor and learns at the last minute can not fulfill them because the factory is delayed, you may lose both the order and the customer.

The solution: quality control prior to shipment

If you've received the order on arrival and this includes poor quality products, it is too late. Usually you can not return to the factory, especially if your factory is located in China, and it is very likely that your provider the re-occurrence free or will make a refund of your order.

The solution is to check the product quality and production status directly from the factory. This form is available from the factory to do the right thing (sort and repair defective products). Not only would repair their own mistakes but these corrective actions probably cost a lot less than what they would in their country.

Another advantage is that the factory technicians know their criteria for accepting or rejecting an order. Quality inspections prior to boarding the pledge to be more careful and pay more attention to their requests.
